DUSIT THANI MANILA NOW SPORTS A NEW LOOK

Manila, Philippines – Founded on its vision to create a unique experience to all its guests by drawing on its culture for inspiration and giving it a contemporary expression, Dusit Thani Manila has recently unveiled its newly repainted state-of-the-art monochromatic beige-colored façade to complete the final leg of the hotel’s massive US$20 million renovation.

“It is overwhelming to note that Dusit Thani Manila notably plays as the city’s milepost, having been in the stretch of EDSA for 33 years. Located just 15 minutes away from the country’s major convention centers and 25 minutes from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, It has become a landmark to first-time tourists as they enter the gateway to the country’s central financial district. I guess, now more than ever, it has become a glorious historical sight with its innovative look”, shares Prateek Kumar, Dusit Thani Manila general manager.

Recently, Dusit Thani Manila was launched as a Thai landmark after it embarked on a US$20 million hotel-wide renovation in 2007 which was fully-completed in 2009. The renovation includes all 538 guestrooms and suites especially designed to create an experience of timeless and unique Thai traditions, ultimate solace and guest satisfaction; grand lobby made of black granite floors and colossal gold posts using real gold leaf and the grand ballroom along with 11 other meeting and board rooms that boast of state of the art facilities. A few new-fangled food and beverage concepts were also introduced including the Japanese restaurant UMU, which was among the four top finalists of the Hotel World Global Hospitality and Design Award given by Hotel Design magazine in Las Vegas, Nevada. Other restaurants include the world-renowned Benjarong Royal Thai restaurant, the European-Italian TOSCA restaurant with an award-winning wine lists praised by the Wine Spectator Magazine 3 years in a row, the fully-renovated all-day dining restaurant Basix, Lobby Lounge, Dusit Gourmet and Fiesta San Miguel.

“We could have easily repainted the façade with its usual neutral color. That could have been easier, less complicated. But then again, this property breathes bespoke product and service, in and out. The color scheme that we chose is indeed a statement of the property’s commitment to delivering quality that redefines industry standards”, ended Kumar.

Aside from the sophisticated and systematically implemented color design of the façade that embodies the property’s culture and brand credo, Dusit Thani Manila also boasts of its 538 guests rooms and suites, seven food and beverage outlets, 11 meeting and banqueting rooms ideal for up to 1,300 persons, comprehensive state-of-the art facilities, award winning spa, fully equipped fitness center and two swimming pools.
